5 Years Abroad (2013) Gouache and Pencil on Board 18” x 23” This most recent painting is a combination of Greek and Arabic design motifs, with a little Mexican added for variety.	Arabic #2 Gouache on Board 14” x 16” A different configuration of Arabic designs using a new color scheme.	Arabic #1 Gouache on Board 12” x 12” Living in the Middle East, there were wonderful Arabic designs everywhere, sometimes on the most modest of buildings . These new patterns and colors were the influences for Arabic #1 and #2.

Greek: Red, Blue, Yellow Gouache on Board 31” x 21 3/4” Another painting done in Greece. It uses a combination of design motifs.	Greek 2 Gouache on Board 31” x 23” This work was done while I was living in Greece. It uses Greek designs and the colors were inspired by looking out my window.	Greek sea Gouache on Board 22 3/4” x 12’ While living in Greece,I would run by the sea. Everyday I passed an old, weathered, abandoned boat. One day I took a picture. It became this painting.
Greek Letters Gouache on Board 16" x 16 1/2" I was always fascinated by topography and the Greek alphabet was a perfect combination of type and design.	Mexico Blue Gouache on board 31” x 15 1/2” After a trip to Mexico, I decided to use photographic images in my work. I manipulated the images so they wouldn’t be easily recognizable then mixed them with other Mexican design motifs.	Swirls Gouache on Board 24” x 24” With this painting, I began the integration of geometric patterns with other design motifs.
Leaves and Flowers Gouache on Board 30” x 30” In “ Leaves and Flowers”, I leave the geometric patterns almost entirely and mix nongeometric design motifs with botanical images.	Rose Window Rose Window Gouache on Board 8” x 8” This is an early geometric. At the time, it was probably my most successful.The patterns are simple but the color is complex, giving the painting the look of being lit from behind.	Geometric #6 Gouache on Board 20” x 20” A more complicated geometric, exploring one design in varying sizes and colors.
Intersections Gouache on Board 12” x 12” One of the early geometric paintings utilizing curves as well as squares and rectangles.	Traces of Pink Gouache on Board 23” x 32” This painting began as a line drawing of a familiar room. Traced over and over again, it becomes something new.
